Specific requirements

The specific academic entry profile for this degree is as follows:

As a priority:

  1. Undergraduates or graduates (in accordance with the plans adapted to the Bologna Declaration) in any of the Philology, Humanities, Journalism, History and Arts and related fields.
  2. Graduates (in accordance with the plans adapted to the Bologna Declaration) in the branch of social sciences and law.

Admission to the Master's Degree can be done through the following routes:

  • a) Access to the speciality through university qualifications. Access will be assessed on the basis of the degree qualification taken by those wishing to access the Master's Degree, with priority being given to graduates with degrees in the branches of Philology and, in general, the Humanities that are detailed below or other similar ones:
    • Graduate in Spanish Philology (Language and Literature).
    • Graduate in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature
    • Graduate in History
    • Graduate in Art History
    • Graduate in Music History and Sciences
    • Graduate in Journalism
    • BA / BA in Advertising and Public Relations
    • BA / BA in Translation and Interpreting
    • Graduate in German Language and Literature
    • Graduate in Classical Philology
    • Graduate in French Language and Literature
    • Graduate in English Language and Literature
    • Graduate in Philosophy
  • b) In the second instance, in accordance with the previously established criteria, if all the places are not filled with the students referred to in the previous point, those graduates belonging to the branches of social and legal sciences may also be admitted, who must receive the training complements.

In the interests of the quality of the degree, as a specific admission requirement for students whose mother tongue is not Spanish, the academic committee of the master's degree will consider it an essential condition to have a broad instrumental command of the Spanish language. In the case of foreign students whose mother tongue is not Spanish, official accreditation of knowledge of Spanish at level C1 or higher must be presented (the validity of this accreditation must be determined by the Master's Academic Committee).

Criteria for admission and selection of students

  1. Academic Record of the Degree (according to the priorities previously established in the access procedure). This section will be valued at a percentage of 60%.
  2. Other academic merits (especially training courses related to the contents of the Master's Degree, or other postgraduate studies). The possibility of transfer and recognition of credits is considered and a value of 20% is established.
  3. Professional experience related to the contents of the Master's Degree (stays in research centres, work experience in companies or in jobs related to the branches of interest of the Master's Degree). This will be valued at 20%.
